Expansion in Southeast Asia: tesa opens strategic hub in Bangkok
10 October 2024
tesa has opened a new Customer Solution Centre and office space in the Thai capital Bangkok. This strategic expansion is an important step for the manufacturer of adhesive tapes and self-adhesive product solutions to further expand its presence and customer relationships in Southeast Asia.
Last year, tesa inaugurated a new production facility in Haiphong, Vietnam. This was followed by the opening of a new office in Hanoi in March. The new premises in Bangkok now represent a further milestone on this path.
Andreas Gunnestrand, Regional Manager tesa Asia-Pacific, says: ‘Our investments in the new Customer Solution Centre and the new office space in Bangkok underline our commitment to the Southeast Asian market. We want to work even more closely with our customers locally, offer customised solutions for our products and be able to respond even faster to individual requirements. This once again emphasises our strategy of always being close to the market and our customers, which is crucial for success in this dynamic region.’
The new Customer Solution Centre in Bangkok has advanced simulation and testing facilities for customers and partners in the automotive, electronics, printing and paper industries. On 850 square metres, including a 100 square metre laboratory unit, applications can be tested with special equipment.
‘By relocating operations close to our customers, we can offer an even faster and more efficient service. At the same time, we are improving our logistical capabilities and can respond more quickly to regional market needs,’ adds Gunnestrand.
The new Customer Solution Centre and offices in Bangkok are LEED Gold certified, demonstrating tesa's commitment to sustainability. This is in line with the goals of achieving climate neutrality by 2030 and net zero emissions by 2045.
