Intralogistics and packaging in Dortmund and Hamburg

On May 15 and 16, 2024, the packaging world of the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region will meet at Empack in Dortmund. The trade fair provides an overview of trends and current topics in packaging technology.
The focus of Empack is on practical solutions that visitors can easily implement in their companies. Maria Soloveva, Project Manager of the organizer Easyfairs: "Empack is regional, efficient and personal. Visitors come into contact with experts and learn about new, tailor-made solutions and products." The exhibitors cover the entire packaging technology value chain, from materials and machines to complete packaging solutions. Visitors can exchange ideas with key players in the industry, including Bluhm, Knüppel, Romwell and Teampack, who have been exhibiting at the trade fair for years. They can also get to know new exhibitors, such as Beck Packautomaten, Fiberlane, Petroplast and Ribox.
Exciting presentations
A visit to the lecture program promises to be just as exciting as a tour of the exhibition area. Here, experts will provide a comprehensive yet practice-oriented overview of what is moving the industry. A few examples: Digitalization will be addressed by Lukas Lehmann, Team Leader Packaging Logistics at Fraunhofer IML. The title of his presentation: "The central role of data". Philip Bittermann, Editor-in-Chief of the trade magazine neue verpackung, will answer the question of why the Cyber Resilience Act is important for the packaging industry. Dr. Benedikt Brenken, R-Cycle, will speak on the highly topical subject of the circular economy - which is currently being fueled by the future EU packaging regulation (PPWR). His topic: "Why digital product passports enable a circular economy for packaging. The presentation by Deutsche Umwelthilfe e.V. (German Environmental Aid) on "Where reusable packaging is already enshrined in law and offers further potential" will certainly also provide food for thought.
Visiting the trade fair is made even more attractive by the opportunity to use the ticket for Logistics & Automation, which is taking place at the same time and in the same place. This gives visitors direct access to around 150 exhibitors from the packaging and intralogistics sector. For those who find Dortmund too far away: the double trade fair will take place in Hamburg on June 12 and 13, 2024.
